Campus Facilities

Southwest Early College is located at the beautiful and historic Loretto Heights campus on South Federal Boulevard in Denver. Students have access to acres of tree-lined walkways, open spaces, athletic facilities, library, and cafeteria.

Pancratia Hall
Pancratia Hall serves as the headquarters for SWEC where most classes are held. Originally built in 1929, nearly $1 million in improvements were completed prior to fall 2004, including a state-of-the-art wireless network with Internet connectivity in every classroom. Renovations also include brand new heating and air conditioning for classrooms and faculty offices.

SWEC Library

Southwest Early College Library is located in Room 100 of Pancratia Hall. In addition to housing over 6,000 titles, the library makes available an extensive array of periodicals, online databases, and reference materials. The library also works with Denver Public Schools to make available interlibrary loan materials, including an extensive video collection for teachers and students.

Cafeteria

Students and faculty may take advantage of a self-service cafeteria for meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the day. The main dining room seats 400 and features stunning views of West Denver, the foothills, and the Rocky Mountains.

Theatres

Students have access to two theatres: the 320-seat "Little Theatre" and the 900-seat professional performance complex. The performance complex is used by community groups and professional performers throughout the year.

Athletic Facilities

Acres of open space is home to running paths, natural terrain, tennis courts, a regulation soccer / rugby field, an Olympic-size swimming pool, weight room, and gymnastics/wrestling gymnasium.
